DAN MOI (Medium)

Traditional mouth harp from the Vietnamese mountains, more precisely from the Hmong people. It is hand-made by a reduced group of local craftsmen. 

This brass instrument captivates by being easily playable and by having a brilliant sound and a wide range of harmonics. 

Unlike other types of mouth harps, the Dan Moi must not be pressed against the teeth. Rather, it should be gently rested against the lips. This makes it more practical and comfortable since no part of the mouth ends up stressed. It offers an infinite variety of possibilities for the creation of harmonics. 

It includes a bamboo case covered in silk and a brass reed.
