MORCHANG INDIA

Instrument from the south of India. This model comes from the Rajasthan region.

The oldest ones can be found in the Bashkortostan region and date from the eighth century.

In Central Asia, the Morchang accompanies women in their traditional dances. 

It is also used by shamans to communicate with spirits. 

Its iron body and its long reed allow us to produce a sweet flow of harmonics.
